An automation project does not always begin with a new machine. Mid West Automation works on upgrades to existing machinery, controls and packaging lines, bringing mechanical, electrical and software expertise to the same problem.
The first step is to understand the current operation and what needs to change. That may be a handling requirement, a controls change or an issue that needs troubleshooting.
Integration and on-site commissioning
An upgrade needs to fit the equipment and systems already in place. Mechanical assembly, electrical wiring and software integration are considered within the agreed scope, followed by on-site commissioning.
Available documentation, access to the machine and planned production stops help establish how the work can be carried out. These constraints should be discussed before the work is scheduled.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
Our services include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and on-site support. Describing when an issue occurs, what the machine is doing and any recent changes helps focus the initial discussion.
For a planned upgrade, provide the machine details, the desired change and the available drawings or software information. This gives the team a practical starting point for reviewing the requirement.
