Cleanroom equipment

Custom workstations, assembly equipment and material handling for controlled production environments.

Workstations built around the operation

Cleanroom equipment needs to fit both the manufacturing task and the environment in which it will be used. Mid West Automation designs and builds custom workstations and assembly equipment for medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The work may centre on an individual operator station or on how material moves between stages of an assembly process. Mechanical, electrical and controls requirements are considered together where automation is part of the equipment.

Define the environment before the design

A useful brief describes the product, assembly steps, operator access and available space, along with the site’s cleaning and material requirements. Drawings or photographs of the existing process can help explain how a new station needs to fit.

Cleanroom classification, documentation and any validation requirements should be identified at the outset so that the project scope can be agreed against the site’s needs.

Connect the station to the wider process

A workstation may need to work alongside existing handling equipment or control systems. Our broader capabilities include custom machinery, PLC programming and integration, allowing these interfaces to be discussed as part of the equipment brief.

Whether the requirement is a new station or a change to existing equipment, the aim is to define a practical scope around the production operation.
