Equipment designed around the process
Mid West Automation brings mechanical design, electrical engineering and controls together for custom machinery. Based in Galway, we work with medical device, pharmaceutical and food manufacturers on equipment for assembly, packaging and material handling.
A new workstation and an integrated production line have different requirements. The starting point is the operation itself: what needs to move, how it needs to be handled and how the equipment will fit into the existing process.
Conveyors and robotic handling
Material handling connects individual operations. Our capabilities include custom conveyors and robotic integration, alongside the mechanical tooling and control systems that make them part of a working machine.
The collection conveyor model shown here has two roller lanes on a shared supporting frame. The gripper model on our homepage shows the tooling underneath the head. These views illustrate the mechanical detail involved in material handling.
From design to commissioning
Mechanical assembly, electrical wiring and software integration come together during the build. On-site commissioning brings the equipment into the production environment, with support and maintenance available through its working life.
For an initial discussion, useful information includes the part or product, the operation to automate, available floor space and the equipment on either side of the proposed machine.
